Mrs. Malinda “Winnie’ Fox Scott, wife of the late Earl Scott Jr. and a resident of Eastville, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022. She was born June 22,1926, in Accomack County, a daughter to the late Roland B. Fox and the late Margaret Melson Fox. Winnie was a partner in Fox & Scott and Fox & James Funeral Homes located in Cape Charles and Eastville.

Winnie was a longtime dedicated member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She attended Northampton High School in Eastville and Longwood College in Farmville, Va. She enjoyed reading and walking with friends in Cape Charles. She also adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her granddogs.

Winnie is survived by her children, Rebecca S. Watson and husband, David; Earl Scott and wife, Paula; grandsons, Scott Buck and wife, Heather,  and Matthew Buck; and granddaughter, Mackenzie S. Miller, and husband, Tim. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Madison and Tanner Buck, Katelyn Broadway, and Parker Kate Miller, as well as nieces and nephews, Peggy Rogers, Martha K. Kellam, Kay Bordner, Sharon Blackman, Debby McDonald, Charles Etz, and Tom Fox Jr.

Other than her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Malinda S. Gregory; a brother, Thomas Fox Sr.; and a sister, Margaret F. Kellam.
