Dear Editor:
On behalf of the members of the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, I would like to thank everyone who supported our recent Card and Game Party fundraiser event. Our thanks also go out to the various businesses who helped with our event. Without the support of these fine people and our chapter members, the fundraiser would not have been the success it was.
The proceeds from the event go toward the chapter’s annual scholarship. The scholarship is given each year to a high school senior who is a resident of Accomack County.
