Mrs. Janice Jean Madden, nee Wimbrow, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at her home in Parksley. She is now at peace. She was born Dec. 4, 1954, in Greenbackville, a daughter to Alice M. Wimbrow and John C. Wimbrow, both deceased.

She is survived by brother, Jay C, Wimbrow Sr., and wife, Sharon Wimbrow; daughter, Pamela M. Madden-Collins and her husband, Carlton W. Collins III, and her son, John J. Madden, and his wife, Jennifer Madden; grandkids, Philip D. Shreves, Kelly J. Shreves, Josie R. Shreves, Austin J. Madden, and his wife, Daniela Madden (with Janice’s first great-granddaughter, Alana Rey Madden, due in June 2022.) Janice is also survived by two nieces, Melissa Wimbrow and Leigh Adams, and her husband; and nephew, Jay C. Wimbrow II, and his wife, plus all their kids. She is also survived by some uncles and aunts and many cousins.

No service will take place, but she was cremated at Fox Funeral Home on Chincoteague. In lieu of flowers, please “pay it forward” to your favorite charity or cause, even if it’s buying your fellow human a coffee or meal.
