Mr. Jamar A. Smith, 41, of Melfa, departed this life suddenly and entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
Born in Nassawadox, Jamar was the son of Wade Summerville and the late Lavonne Smith. He was affectionately known as “Muscle” by his family and friends. He was educated in the public schools of Accomack County.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Metropolitan United Methodist Church, Onancock, with Min. Quintavion Washington officiating. Interment was in the Metropolitan Bayside Community Cemetery, Onancock.
He leaves to cherish lasting memories: his son, Jamar Smith Jr.; father, Wade Summerville; brothers, Jermaine Smith, Leshaun Anderson, and Kevonne Summerville; sisters, Jessica Needam and Shakea Strand; grandmother, Vandelia Blake; five aunts; four uncles; one great-aunt; two great-uncles; a special friend, Cherry Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
