Mr. Charles “Ed” Savage, 83, of Painter, quietly entered into eternal rest Monday, March 7, 2022, at the rehabilitation center in Nassawadox.

Born in Craddockville, Charles was the beloved son of the late Sidney and Jane Savage Sr. He was affectionately known as “Ed” by his family and friends. He was a school bus driver for over 20 years and received the “Driver of the Year” award on multiple occasions. Ed later obtained his CDL license and was a driver for Davis Disposal for several years. He spent the majority of his life as a farmer, growing crops and managing farmland.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Wardtown, with the Rev. Milton P. Bunting officiating.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Tomeka Hill-Brown, Latasha Harris, Kesha Hill-Foster, Faith Custis, Lydia Betz, and Larry Parker; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Bernice “Chummy” Parker, Louise Alexander, and Nettie Roberson; special friends, Margaret Hatney, the Sterling Family, and the Henderson Family; special niece, Cathy Harmon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
