Mr. Scott Richard Justice passed from his earthly life peacefully on March 17, 2022, in Huntsville, Ala. He was born Wednesday, March 19, 1969, in Virginia. He was the light in the lives of his parents, Richard and Shirley Justice.

Scott grew up on his family’s farm near Horntown, attended Broadwater Academy, Virginia Tech, Towson University, and University of Maryland University College to complete his B.S. in chemistry and master’s in project management. After leaving Virginia, Scott lived and worked in Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Alabama. Along the way, Scott forged many cherished friendships and touched many lives positively. As much as he loved his work in the private sector and government, Scott adored his family more. With incredible strength, he worked and lived with serious health issues most of his life. Through it all, he never stopped loving his work; and he never stopped loving his family.

Scott is survived by his wife, Loretta Zee Justice, of 14 years; two sons, Alejandro “Alex” Yong-Gui Zee and Nathan Scott Justice; mother, Shirley Chapman Justice; uncle, Kenneth Justice (Betty); aunt, Donna Jane Killmon; cousins, Raymond Justice (Virginia), Paddy Justice, Amy Strong (Mike), John Killmon (Pam); and a host of second and third cousins.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Richard Vernon Justice; paternal grandparents, Katherine and Vernon Justice; and maternal grandparents, Richard and Marian Chapman.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 1 p.m., at the Greenbackville Volunteer Fire Department Community Hall on Ellis Street in Greenbackville, with the Rev. Brenda Laws officiating. The family welcomes you to come and share favorite memories.
