Mrs. Christina Lynn Ahern, 53, wife of Christopher “Chris” Bonniwell, passed away at her home in Hacksneck on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Born Jan. 31, 1969, in Nassau County, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Frank Walczyk and the late Gail Arpino Walczyk.

Never one to let the grass grow under her feet, Christina believed in living life to the fullest and making the most of each day. Her personality was perfectly matched for her position as a waitress at 3 Knots Taphouse, where coworkers and customers looked forward to her infectious charisma and joyful spirit. She adored her family, which included her four-legged babies, cherished her friends, loved an ice-cold beer, preferably one in each hand, and liked her music loud and on repeat. Christina would want everyone to take a page from her book and live this life in a way that people will smile or laugh at the sound of the songs you sang to the top of your lungs, when someone cracks a Natty Light, or simply when a shared memory comes to mind.

In addition to her husband, Christina is survived by her daughter, Angelica Brown (Joshua), of Melfa; stepchildren, Thomas Bonniwell and Danielle Bonniwell, both of Hacksneck; sisters and brothers, Rachel Walczyk (Suzanne), of Yapank, N.Y., Peter Walczyk, of Coram, N.Y., Meggan Heinrichs (Brian), of Medford, N.Y., and Adam Walczyk (Susan), of Bel Air, Md.; grandchildren, Kayden, Ethan, and Sophia; several nieces and nephews; as well as countless friends, and of course, her precious cats.

The family invites friends to join them for a Celebration of Life service at the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 1 p.m.
