The Lady Yellow Jackets varsity soccer team competed against Arcadia on Wednesday, April 27, in Oak Hall. Northampton came to play scoring six goals in the first half. The Lady Firebirds were unable to respond throughout the game. The Lady Yellow Jackets pulled away and took the 8-0 victory over the Firebirds.
Senior Rocio Cruz had an impressive outing scoring six of Northampton’s eight goals. Ryan Jones scored on a corner kick in the first half followed by another Yellow Jacket goal from Jacqueline Santos. Northampton’s girls soccer team now holds a 6-2 record and will compete again on Friday against West Point. Arcadia will host its district rival, Nandua, on Monday, looking to earn its first district win.
