Mr. William Carroll Tucker Jr. was called home to the Lord on May 7, 2022, while peacefully resting in his home he shared with his wife.
William was born in Hampton, Va., on Sept. 20, 1964, to Sheila and William Tucker Sr. William attended high school in Hampton before moving to the Eastern Shore and settling on Chincoteague Island. William gave his life to the Lord and joined Union Baptist Church in 2007. There he would teach Sunday school, assist with outreach ministries, and serve in any way he could. From there, Will attended Dallas Seminary College where he completed their seminary program and thoroughly enjoyed continuing studies of the Bible and its many messages. He began his love for woodworking and construction while building cabinets as a young man in Hampton, and he would eventually go into business for himself.
On April 22, 2021, Will would go on to marry Christine Tucker and they would continue to work together and live on Chincoteague.
He was predeceased by his father, Bill, and his grandmother, Bessie Tucker. He is survived by his mother, Sheila Bloxom, and her husband, Eugene; his son, Alex; his beloved wife, Chrissy, and her daughters, Alexis and Gena; and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague Island, with the Rev. Eley officiating.
