The Northampton Yellow Jackets girls varsity soccer team hosted the Arcadia Firebirds Monday, May 9. The Yellow Jackets won 3-1, scoring two goals in the first half and one in the second. Jacqueline Santos scored two goals and Vanessa Mateo scored one goal.

“Senior night was a great night,” said Yellow Jackets head coach Ernest Bethel. “It’s very emotional for players and families because it’s one of the last times people are able to see seniors get a home win in a Northampton uniform.”

Bethel also made positive comments about the Firebirds. “Arcadia’s girls soccer program is looking good,” he said. “I’m very happy and proud of the way they played.”
