Broadwater Vikings Softball Team Hosts Conference Title

On Friday, May 13, the Broadwater Vikings varsity softball team hosted Atlantic Shores Christian School for the Metro Conference Championship. 

Both teams started strong on offense, scratching one run across the plate. Atlantic Shores pulled away in the bottom of the second as the team went up 6-1. The Vikings continued to fight, responding with four runs in the top of the third. Both teams went scoreless in the fourth inning, but Atlantic Shores continued to add runs in the fifth and sixth, sending the final score to 8-5. 

Broadwater’s ace pitcher Ramsey Revelle threw a complete game with three strikeouts and one walk. Offensively, the Lady Vikings recorded a total of six hits in the game. Chloe Hall and Savannah Lunger each went 2-for-3 at the plate against a powerful Seahawks’ pitcher. Revelle and Savannah Long each recorded one hit in the loss.  

The Lady Vikings softball team holds a 9-9 record. On Tuesday, May 17, the Vikings competed against Kenston Forest in the VISAA quarterfinals and came up short 11-3.
