Firebirds Pick Up Another Win

The Northampton Yellow Jackets varsity baseball team hosted the Arcadia Firebirds Tuesday, May 17. The Firebirds won 18-0.

The Firebirds took control of the game early on, scoring seven runs in the first inning. The Yellow Jackets were unable to climb back into the game but managed to generate a couple hits with their offense.

Landon Fuller started off on the pitcher’s mound, giving up zero hits and striking out three batters. Cody Hansen pitched in relief, giving up two hits, walking one batter, and striking out three. Fuller led the offense with two hits, four RBIs, and one run. Carson Lucy, Nathan Barnes, and Zachary Giddens each earned two hits. Hansen had one hit.

For the Yellow Jackets, Charles Chapman started off on the pitcher’s mound, giving up six hits, walking three batters, and striking out two. Nicolas Sawyer and Romano Onley pitched in relief. Sawyer allowed one hit, walked five batters, and struck out one. Onley allowed two hits, walked four batters, and struck out one. Aron Price and Jayden Dilley led the offense with one hit apiece.
