Mr. Ray N. Finney, 89, of Greenbush, departed this life on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Onancock, he was the beloved son of the late Henry and Swanee Finney. Ray was also known as “Bunchie” by his family and friends. Bunchie became a carpenter and dedicated over 50 years to his craft.
At an early age, he attended Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with his family. He was married to Geneva E. Allen Finney (now deceased).
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Milton P. Bunting officiating.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: his sister, Dorothy Bagwell; children, Ray Finney Jr. and Gennita Finney; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special friend, Abigail Allen; and a host of other relative and friends.
Arrangements were by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
