Ms. Heather Lynn McCranie, 50, and a resident of Smith Beach, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her residence. A native of Sumneytown, Pa., she was the daughter of Leroy Gibson Jr. and his wife, Sheila, of Barto, Pa., and Carolyn L. Try, of Hacksneck. A retired account manager, Heather loved the Eastern Shore of Virginia, the beach, sandbar Sundays, “her girls:” Lorelei and Madison, her truck, and back roads. Heather’s love for animals and nature were profound. The sun, moon, and stars were special to her and now she is shining down on all of us.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Christie Potter, one niece, Haley Potter, and one nephew, Christian A. Potter, all of Folsom, Pa.
To honor her request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
