Mr. Warren T. Fosque Jr., 62, of Horntown, departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Modest Town, he was the son of the late Warren T. Fosque Sr. and the late Josephine Fosque. He was affectionately known as “Pig” or “Kilowatt” by his family and friends. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Horntown. On Jan. 28, 1994, Warren was wed in holy matrimony to Betty M. Fosque, and this union lasted 28 years.
Warren learned how to operate tractor trailers at a young age alongside his father, Warren Sr. He worked in the industry for over 40 years. Warren was employed by numerous trucking companies over the span of his career, including being owner/operator of Fosque and Sons Trucking; more recently Warren was employed at Perdue Farms as an over-the-road and jockey driver. He was also an avid standardbred harness horse racer.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 28, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Mappsville, with the Rev. Dr. Lisa C. Johnson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Warren leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Betty A. Fosque; children, Gregory, Warren III, and Bethany; two grandchildren; two sisters, Annette Rogers and Veronica Fosque; mother and father-in-law, Earl and Hazel Marshall; one brother-in-law; three uncles; eight aunts; several special relatives and friends; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
