By Stefanie Jackson – The Northampton school board chose Jaime Cole as the school division’s next superintendent at a special meeting Thursday night.
Cole has served as Northampton schools’ associate superintendent for the past year and will take over for Superintendent Eddie Lawrence, who has served in the position for eight years, on July 1.
Cole, who moved to the Eastern Shore from Arizona, has more than 20 years experience in education and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree.
