Slight Risk of Severe Weather Tomorrow (June 14)

The National Weather Service in Wakefield, Va., has issued a briefing as of 5 p.m. Monday, June 13, highlighting the potential for a slight risk of severe weather expected on Tuesday. Strong to severe wind gusts of 45-60 mph are possible with the strongest storms. In addition, isolated instances of hail the size of quarters is also possible.  Heavy downpours will accompany the storms, with the risk for flash flooding highest over the northern/northeast portions of the region. The timing remains uncertain in that some strong storms will be possible even during the morning hours.
