Mr. Tony T. Weeks Jr., 31, of Onancock, departed this life Thursday, June 9, 2022, in Fayetteville, N.C.
Tony Terrell Weeks Jr. was born Nov. 14, 1990, a son to Tony Terrell Weeks Sr. and the late Ethel Chandler Sample. He was affectionately known as “T” or “T-Bop” by his family and friends.
Tony was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. At an early age, he attended Macedonia AME Church in Accomac. Tony was very fascinated with trucks and decided to make it his career. The first company he drove for was F & G Trucking of Naples, Fla. In later years, he joined the Moore Trucking family of Belle Haven. “Fuel Tank Tony,” as he was known by his trucking family, will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Living Word of Deliverance, Parksley, with the Rev. Richard Holland officiating. Interment was in the Wharton Cemetery, Parksley.
Tony leaves to cherish his loving memory: his father, Tony Weeks Sr. (Alvinia); stepfather, Benny Sample Sr.; his daughter, who will arrive in October 2022: four brothers, Damien Brown, D’Angelo Brown, Demichael Burton, and Benny Sample Jr.; four sisters, Ashanti Weeks, April Walker, Taishawnia Perkins, and Laquanet Burton; grandparents, Lavesta Witherspoon (Robert); special friend, Andrea Rasher; three best friends, Antoine Sears, Marcus Harmon, and Otis Stevens; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, trucking family, and friends.
Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
