Wednesday saw the first pony swim since 2019 due to cancellations during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Saltwater Cowboys escorted the ponies down Main Street to the carnival grounds where they were set to be auctioned Thursday. The auction raises funds for the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Co.

For more pony swim photos, see pages 14 and 15 in the July 29, 2022, print issue of the Eastern Shore Post. Pony auction photos will appear in the Aug. 5 print issue.
