51st Annual Chincoteague Seafood Festival

The 51st Annual Chincoteague Seafood Festival will be celebrated on May 4, 2019 at Tom’s Cove Park Campground. The Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce sponsors the event and encourages everyone to purchase tickets soon as the event is almost sold out.   Tickets are $45 each and may be purchased at the chamber office at 6733 Maddox Boulevard Chincoteague, online at www.chincoteaguechamber.com or by phone at 757-336-6161.
Front Page News band from Salisbury will entertain from Noon to 4 p.m. Feast on “Little Neck” steamed clams from Chincoteague waters.  Other delicious menu items include clam chowder, steamed shrimp, single fried oysters, fried fish, clam fritters, clam strips, grilled chicken by Tyson Foods, raw bar of oysters and clams, full salad bar, sweet potato fries, Boardwalk fries, hushpuppies, cornbread and soft drinks.  Beer is sold separately.  Gates open at 10:00 a.m. with appetizers available at 11:00 a.m. Seafood items will be served beginning at noon. An Extravaganza of prizes will be given away to one lucky ticket holder at 4 p.m. so be sure to buy plenty of tickets during the day! Commemorative glass beer mugs will be available again this year as a keepsake of the memorable day.

After the Festival, enjoy ArtSea sponsored by the Museum of Chincoteague Island, 7125 Maddox Blvd. (www.chincoteaguemuseum.com) beginning at 5:00 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the museum featuring 5×5 artwork and delicious snacks. It’s a full day of fun in Chincoteague Island.
