After a year-long hiatus, the Eastern Shore of Virginia Anglers Club will resume monthly meetings on May 10 in the conference room of the Sage Restaurant in Onley. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a presentation by Dr. Paul L. Ewell.
A teacher, researcher, and maritimologist, Ewell is Executive Director of the Eastern Shore Watermen’s Museum and Research Center in Onancock. Ewell grew up working on the water as a commercial fisherman and will talk about the history and industry of crabbing in the region.
The public is invited to attend, and new or prospective members are welcome.
