Camp Occohannock on the Bay’s 60th Birthday!

Dear friend of Camp Occohannock,
Can you believe our beloved camp is 60 years old?! Over the past 60 years, thousands
of people have participated in summer camp, Emmaus and other retreats, family gatherings, weddings and more on those sacred acres of ground purchased by the United Methodist Church in 1958. The first campers arrived in June 1959—and the rest, as they say, is history!
In addition to traditional summer camps and retreats, Camp Occohannock is also a
great place for school field trips (especially biology), corporate teambuilding events, family
reunions and weddings.
We hope that you will come celebrate with us on Saturday, September 14. We will be
having music by “Pound Net”, a BBQ lunch and worship. There will also be camp tours (if you haven’t been in a while you will be AMAZED by the updates!) and acƟviƟes such as corn hole, gaga ball and more. Golf carts will be available to use for tours for people with limited mobility. We will also be having a silent auction to raise funds for Camp including lots of neat items you won’t want to miss! All acƟviƟes (including lunch) are FREE. This is a special time in the life of our camp, and we want you to be a part of it.
