Chess Meetings (Sundays Only)

Parents of school-age students interested in opportunities for learning and playing chess will be glad to know that a new chess club has opened.
Attending regularly in person offers live coaching and over-the-board competition, but because the curriculum is meshed with Chesskid.com, a safe place to learn and to play against other kids around the world is available online, at any time, from anywhere.
Meetings are 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays, at the Island Community House, 6246 Mumford St., Chincoteague.
Membership is open to 4th through 12th grade students, beginners or experienced, whether private-, home-, parochial-, or public-schooled.
