Fresh Expressions Roundtable

Fresh Expression Roundtable Event, Thurs., August 15, 2019, 6:30-7 pm (sign-in) until 9 pm at the Hampton Inn on 4129 Lankford Highway, Exmore, VA 23350.  Participants will get a chance to ask in-depth questions about concepts, theological foundations and the developmental process of Fresh Expressions. You’ll receive up close and personal guidance on how to take next steps on your fresh expressions journey.

Presenters: Fresh Expressions Consultant Gannon Sims and Mark Ogren, Conference Director of Congregational Excellence.

What’s a fresh expression of church? It’s a form of church for our changing culture established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet part of any church. At its heart, Fresh Expressions is about two things: (1) Proclaiming that established churches have a critical, if not central, role to play in God’s mission in our time. (2) Empowering and equipping God’s people in every congregation to develop creative ways to reach the increasing diversity of our society. A true movement of God begins with a sense of awe and wonder. So let us wonder. Where are the people we want to reach? Who are they? How do we work outside the walls of the church—but in partnership with the church to do so.
