Onancock International Films

Mark your calendars for Onancock International Films 2nd Thursday on August 11 to see “The Duke” at 7:30 p.m., at the Roseland Theatre in Onancock.
Based on a true story, a 60 year old taxi driver steals Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London. A charming and completely enjoyable frolic about how ordinary people can do extraordinary things. Beautifully acted by James Broadbent and Helen Mirren, its message is about the importance of standing up for one’s beliefs. Nothing wrong with that at all. Tickets are $8 at the door. See you at the movies – masked but together!
