Performance at Hungars Church

Organist Gustavo Andres and operatic soprano Shannon Jennings Holman will
perform at Hungars Church 4 p.m. Sunday, May 12. A meet-the-artists reception
will follow in the Church Parish House.
Internationally known Argentina organist Gustavo Andres has performed in
Bolivia, Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia and his native country. He received his
BA in organ performance from Western Connecticut State University and his
Masters degree from Indiana University. He currently serves as organist and
choir director for Galilee Episcopal Church, Virginia Beach. This concert will be
his third performance at Hungars.
Shannon Jennings Holman has served as a Resident Artist with the Pittsburgh
Opera and an Apprentice Artist with Santa Fe Opera. She has performed with
the Annapolis Opera, Florida Opera Theatre, D. C. Public Opera, and the Virginia
Opera and has won national and international competitions. She has been
described as bringing to her performance “a lovely lilting voice that tugs at the
heartstrings.”
The Hungars Concert performances are free and open to the public. A free will
offering will be accepted to sustain the series in the future. Hungars is located
at 10107 Bayside Road, Machipongo.
