Senior Center

Island Community House is partnering with the Eastern Shore Area Agency on Aging for a new senior center in Accomack County, located at 6246 Mumford Street, directly behind the Theatre Annex on Chincoteague Island.
The first event is to encourage community participation for desired programs on March 18, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  Please join the many interested residents for a “Coffee Hour” that includes fresh coffee/snacks and feel welcome to give us your input for programs and activities; be sure to stay to meet the new senior center manager who will be the featured speaker at 11 a.m with the topic, “Aging Gracefully for Accomack County Seniors”; drop off your written suggestions in our “Fresh Ideas” box; or seek us out on Facebook at https://facebook.com/islandcountyhouse/ and send us questions and ideas.
The ICH-SC plans an open house on April 21st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a schedule of events that includes the first part of a series on “Island Connections” (featuring local speakers involved in services and businesses pertaining to seniors).  More information will be forthcoming on refreshments and foods served).  To find out more, contact the Senior Center manager at 757-710-0739 or by email at [email protected].
