Special Back to School

Sports physicals, required immunizations for PreK, Kindergarten and 7th grade students, and well child checks/physicals required for PreK and Kindergarten prior to entering school will be available the special hours below in addition to normal hours at Eastern Shore Rural Health.

• Atlantic Community Health Center: Monday August 19 and 26 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Franktown Community Health Center: Monday August 12 and 26 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Onley Community Health Center: Saturday June 22 from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Free dental screenings are available at Atlantic and Franktown Centers at these times.

Children entering PreK and Kindergarten must have required immunizations and well child checks/physicals before attending school while children entering 7^th grade must have a Tdap booster. Effective July 1, 2019, the Tdap booster is now required before 7^th grade versus 6^th grade.

AStlAtlanfffA sports physical and a completed Virginia High School League physical exam form, signed by the child’s medical provider, is required before a child can try out for school teams OR participate in summer conditioning. A new, updated form must be submitted each school year.
